Introduction:
Mariano comes all the way from Argentina. As a Junior, he trained and competed with well-known top Argentinian players (Puerta, Canas, Chela, Acassuso). In Argentina, his top Junior ranking was 16th, and his highest Professional ranking was 41st. He played Pro tournaments and competed against several ATP ranked players, with some wins! From early on, Mariano`s ultimate goal was to become a world class tennis coach.
Bio:
His coaching career started at the Vilas Racket Club in Buenos Aires. There is where he met and became friends with his idol, Guillermo Vilas.

Mariano also taught at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in Texas. He developed and coached several top Junior players who became Division 1 college players and are now also Tennis Directors. Ryan Harrison (Top 50 in the world) and younger brother Christian were coached by Mariano while at the Academy.

While in Texas, Mariano also had the experience of working on court teaching clinics with Rod Laver, Roy Emerson, John Newcombe and Cliff Drysdale.

Mariano has been a Tennis Pro at country clubs that provide USTA teams and leagues, and teaches all ages and levels of players. He has taught and coached all students with the same enthusiasm and motivation regardless of their level of play or age. Mariano will not call his people clients, but rather students.

He was the Tennis Director at one of the top 5 largest clubs in the US, The Crandon Park Tennis Center in Florida (home facility of the Miami Open). The club has 30 hard courts, 6 clay courts, two grass courts and a 12,000 capacity stadium court. His Academy had 50 plus kids a day, and had 7 Assistant Pros. He coached current top 30th ranked Camila Giorgi to her first Wimbledon main draw.

Mariano has been most recently serving as a Tennis Director at the Paso Robles Sports Club in CA. Last year, one of his biggest accomplishments was 3 of his teams won their division and another team came in 2nd in the team tennis competitions. His role was to set the line ups and clinics. He has been a USPTA Elite Pro for the last 10 years.

Mariano’s passion to serve our member-run, family oriented Club will be evident when you first meet him. Mariano is married and has a young daughter.
