FTSC Swimming - Summer Season Recap
FTSC = 2nd Place in all the Dual Meets with 4 wins and 1 loss
FTSC = 2nd Place in the Relay Meet
FTSC = 2nd Place @ the Championship meet
This has been a great swim Summer for the Dolphins!
Unbelievably, this summer has gone so fast and here we are at the beginning of August where kids have to start thinking about returning to school! I have to say that this summer has been really fun and it has been a joy teaching and leading the kids here at the club. Fortunately, we are able to come to a place like Foothills to get away from all the pressures of daily life and enjoy the comforts of a beautiful setting and the people that make Foothills so great.
Sadly, the 2018 Summer swim team is over - but the smiles and dolphin pride remain, and is strong with our swim team! Our swimmers gave it their all in our Dual Meets taking 2nd place against all the clubs in the league – and only missing 1st place by a close meet against Alpine by 26 points. Our team also did fabulous in the Relay Meet this summer by moving up from 3rd place last year to 2nd this summer! To finish the season, we swam in the Championship Meet this past weekend and our team came back from being 3rd midway through the meet to finish 2nd by an impressive 56 points! Taking 2nd Place in all 3 categories means our swim team is definitely moving in the right direction and we look forward to next summer already!
A big shout out and thanks to all of parents who volunteered their time to make the season happen and a special thanks to all the swimmers who gave it their best each meet!
